Tesla Model Y Juniper Accessories: What Fits the 2025+ Model Y and What to Check

The short answer: the Model Y "Juniper", the redesigned Model Y sold from 2025, changed the bumpers, lights, cameras, center console, door cards and trunk. Anything shaped to the car, such as floor mats, trunk protection, console parts and camera covers, has to be made for the Juniper. Parts made for the 2020–2024 Model Y usually won't fit. Universal items like jack pads, TPMS sensors and portable chargers fit both. The cheaper Model Y Standard and the longer, six-seat Model Y L share the new design but differ in places, so check those versions in each listing.

Many new Model Y owners find that the accessories they knew from the old Model Y don't fit the new one. This guide explains how to tell if your car is a Juniper, what changed that matters for accessories, and which accessories are worth adding, area by area. The products we list are third-party products, not made by Tesla, and your own manual has the final word for your car.

Is your Model Y a Juniper?

"Juniper" is the nickname for the refreshed Model Y that went on sale in 2025. Tesla calls it simply the new Model Y. You can recognize it in a few seconds:

  • Front: a thin light bar across the nose on most versions, with the headlights lower in the bumper, and a camera in the center of the front bumper.
  • Rear: a tail light that runs across the full width of the tailgate.
  • Inside: a redesigned center console, ambient lighting along the dash and doors, and a touchscreen for the rear passengers on most versions.

The Model Y Standard, added in late 2025, is built on the same new body but drops some features, such as the front light bar, the rear screen and the ambient lighting, and it has a different, open center console and a covered roof. The Model Y L is a longer version with six seats. Shaped accessories often list the Juniper and the Model Y L together, and some list the Standard separately.

Floor and trunk

Mats are the first accessory most owners buy, and the one most likely to be wrong if it was made for the older car. For the Juniper we list TPE floor and cargo mats in sets of 3, 4 or 9 pieces, a build-your-own set, white TPE mats, and mats that extend over the door sills. In the trunk, a sill guard and a tailgate panel protect the edges where luggage scrapes, and a trunk mat with seatback covers protects the backs of the rear seats. With power-folding rear seats, check that seatback covers are listed as compatible with folding.

Center console and storage

The new console has its own shape, so the organizer trays, the suede console film and the silicone mat for the wireless charging pad all need to be listed for the Juniper. Side kick pads protect the sides of the console from shoes. For small things, door pocket liners, front door storage bins with a lid, a sunglasses holder behind the mirror and an under-screen storage box keep the cabin tidy. Our guide to where to keep small things goes through each spot.

Exterior

The new front bumper camera sits low, where stones and car-wash brushes hit. Camera lens covers with a clear window protect the housing, and bug screens keep leaves and insects out of the air intake. No-drill mud flaps protect the lower sides from road spray. Our guide to exterior accessories covers what to check, including keeping camera lenses clear.

Steering and driving

We list a heated 350 mm yoke for the Juniper and Model Y L, and a suede steering wheel cover, plus pedal covers. Tesla's manual has specific warnings about anything fitted over the steering wheel, so read our guide to steering wheel covers and yokes first.

Things that fit any Model Y

Some accessories don't depend on the body: jack pads, Bluetooth TPMS sensors, a portable charger and a tire repair kit work with the Juniper and the older car alike.

Before you buy

  1. Confirm your version. Juniper, Model Y Standard, Model Y L or the 2020–2024 car. Shaped parts are listed by version, and the Standard's open console and covered roof change what fits.
  2. Check the seat count. The Model Y L has six seats, so floor mat sets for five-seat cars won't match.
  3. No seat covers. Tesla's Model Y manual says not to use seat covers, because they could restrict the seat-mounted side airbags, and not to attach objects such as cushions near the side of the front seats.
  4. Keep cameras and sensors clear. Covers for camera housings must leave the lens unobstructed. Tesla's manual also asks you not to block the cabin radar above the front dome lights.
  5. Read the fit in the listing. We show each product's fit as the seller lists it, but sellers sometimes change versions. Check the listing before you order.
  6. Warranty. In the edition of Tesla's New Vehicle Limited Warranty that we read (Qatar, effective July 2024), non-genuine parts and accessories, and their installation, are not covered, and damage linked to their installation or use is excluded. Editions differ by region, so read yours.

Is it worth it?

For a new Juniper, a set of all-weather floor and trunk mats is the clearest win, followed by trunk sill protection and console storage. Exterior covers and bug screens make sense if you drive on gravel or park under trees. Start with what protects the car, then add comfort and storage as you find what you miss.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Tesla Model Y Juniper?

It is the nickname for the redesigned Model Y sold from 2025, with a new front and rear, a camera in the front bumper, a new console and, on most versions, a rear touchscreen.

Do 2020–2024 Model Y accessories fit the Juniper?

Shaped parts usually don't: floor and trunk mats, console parts, door pocket liners and bumper camera covers changed. Universal items like jack pads, TPMS sensors and chargers fit both.

Do Model 3 Highland accessories fit the Model Y Juniper?

Some do. The two cars share some interior parts, so some console, door and mud flap accessories are listed for both. Check that the listing names the Juniper.

Do Juniper accessories fit the Model Y Standard?

Not always. The Standard has an open center console, a covered roof and fewer features, so check that the listing names the Standard.

What are the first accessories to buy for a new Model Y?

All-weather floor and trunk mats, then trunk sill protection and console storage. Add exterior protection if you drive on gravel or dusty roads.

Can I use seat covers on a Model Y Juniper?

Tesla's Model Y manual says not to use seat covers, because they could restrict the deployment of the seat-mounted side airbags.

Is there a cover for the Juniper front bumper camera?

Yes. Covers made for the Juniper fit around the bumper camera with a clear window over the lens. Make sure the lens itself stays unobstructed.

Do Juniper floor mats fit the Model Y L?

Not unless the listing says so. The Model Y L is longer and has six seats, so it needs mats made for it.
