Collection: Tesla USB Drives, SSDs & Glovebox Hubs

Tesla's owner's manuals list the requirements for a USB drive used to record Dashcam and Sentry Mode video:

  • At least 64 GB of storage.
  • A sustained write speed of at least 4 MB/s (sustained speed is different from peak speed).
  • USB 2.0 compatible. A USB 3.0 drive must also support USB 2.0.
  • Formatted as exFAT, MS-DOS FAT, ext3 or ext4. NTFS isn't supported. The car can also format the drive for you.

Plug the drive into a front USB port that supports saving video, such as the glovebox USB port on many newer cars. The rear USB ports only charge devices. The drives here are 64 GB or larger; the sellers list USB 3.x connections and read speeds, not sustained write speeds. We also list glovebox USB hubs, which add ports in the glovebox.

These are products from third-party sellers, not made by Tesla.
